Phago does not have user accounts. It does not require sign-up. It does not phone home. It does not run analytics SDKs (Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.). It does not include third-party advertising. It does not include the Facebook SDK, Google SDK, or any other tracking library.
You can verify all of this in Settings → Privacy → App Privacy Report on your iPhone.
All of this is stored using Apple's standard SwiftData and UserDefaults on your device. It is encrypted at rest as part of iOS's standard device encryption. It is never transmitted to us.
If — and only if — you explicitly enable the "Save water to Health" toggle in Settings, Phago writes each cup of water you log as a 250 ml water sample to your Apple Health Water type. If you tap "Import from Apple Health" in the Profile editor, Phago reads your latest weight, height, and date of birth from Apple Health to pre-fill the calorie estimate. Both operations stay on-device — Apple Health data never leaves your iPhone. You can revoke either permission at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Phago.
Fast state syncs from your iPhone to your paired Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework, which is a direct device-to-device transfer. The data is shared with the Phago Widget Extension on the same iPhone via an App Group. None of this leaves your device.
If you're using a device that supports it, Phago shows your active fast on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island using Apple's ActivityKit framework. These Live Activities are updated locally on your iPhone — Phago does not use a remote push server for them and we don't have your device's push token.
Phago schedules local notifications using Apple's UNUserNotificationCenter. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your iPhone. We don't run a push-notification server; we don't have your device token.
Phago does not include any third-party crash reporting (Sentry, Bugsnag, Crashlytics). If you have iOS's standard "Share with App Developers" setting enabled, Apple may share anonymized crash logs with us through App Store Connect. These contain only system-level technical details — no personal data. You can disable this in Settings → Privacy → Analytics & Improvements on your iPhone.
Phago is not designed for users under 18. The in-app disclaimer specifically advises against fasting for users under 18.
If we change anything material about how Phago handles data, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date. Because we don't have a way to contact you (no accounts), there's no in-app announcement.
